Flone is an illustration book/zine which playfully explores some aspects of human anatomy, portraiture and figure drawing. Born from my sketchbook, it contains 36 pages of full colour illustrations, line drawings, studies and doodles, many of which are printed over two pages.
This book can be looked at as a window into my artistic practice, my journey and my struggles, in trying to better understand the human form, both in part, and as a whole, by sticking to it's rules (or trying to, at least), and then breaking them for my own amusement.
The book is not meant as a teaching aid for aspiring artists looking to learn anatomy, portraiture or figure drawing, but if it ignites even the tiniest spark of inspiration or interest in these subjects then of that, I am glad.
